I was watching Sportscenter the other day and saw this guy in the highlights. Do you think this guy is the fattest basketball player in the world? He's gotta be, right? So anyways, I started thinking about who were the best fat athletes in history and I began to compile a list. Obviously I left out lineman in football, and other positions in sports where fat guys are common. I'm talking about the fat guys competing in a fit man's world. I narrowed it down to a top 5.
5. George Foreman
Prior to retiring in 1977, Big George was not really that big, usually fighting at around 215-220 pounds. When he returned to the ring over a decade later, Foreman had beefed up to 260 pounds. The extra weight slowed him down, but did nothing to diminish his awesome power. Just ask Michael Moorer.
4. Sebastian Janikowski
Generously listed at 250 pounds, Sebastian is an absolute monster for a kicker. Probably the only kicker who has been arrested for pummeling bar patrons.3. Jerome Bettis
The Bus' 13,662 career rushing yards ranks 5th all time. Who knows how many he would've rushed for if he skipped a meal once in a while.
2. Kirby Puckett
Sure baseball is a sport with a grand tradition fat asses, but how many of them played center field and had ups like Puckett?
1. Charles Barkley
